How to Suspend a Job in the Hunter AI Recruitment and HR Management System?
During recruitment process management, there may be situations where you need to temporarily suspend a job – for example, when the recruitment process is frozen, pending a decision, or stopped for operational reasons.
Suspending a job stops it from being published to new candidates, but does not delete the job data or candidates who have already applied.
This is a temporary action and you can return the job to “Active” status at any time.
Opening the Relevant Job Card
To begin the job suspension process, open the job card you want to suspend.
Once inside, make sure the job status is set to “Active” — this action is only available for jobs that are currently active in the system.
For instructions on how to find a job in the system, see the article:
🔗 How to Search for a Job in the Recruitment System
Then, click Suspend Job which appears at the top of the screen and is highlighted in red. This action will suspend the job and stop it from being visible to new candidates, without deleting the job data or the candidates who have already applied.

Filling in the Suspension Details
After clicking, a window will open where you need to enter the following details:
- Suspension Reason – select the relevant reason from the list of available options. Note that once you make your selection, a title for the action will be created automatically based on the reason chosen.
- Start Time – the actual date and time the action takes effect.
- Contact Person – specify the contact person responsible for the job, typically the recruiter leading the process.
For example, the attached image shows a job that was frozen after being filled, at 14:00 on 26.3.25, by Tomer – the recruiter responsible for the job.
After filling in all the details, click the Add button (highlighted in red) – this will complete the suspension process and update the job status accordingly.

Result After Suspension
- You will be taken back to the job card.
- The job status will update to Suspended.
- The job will no longer be displayed to new candidates.
- The suspension details will be saved in the job card for documentation and tracking.
Returning a Job to Active Status
You can return a suspended job to active status at any time:
In the job card, click Restore to Active – highlighted in red in the image below.
The same window will open, where you fill in:
- Reactivation Reason
- Start Time
- Contact Person
Click Add – and the job will return to Active status and be available for publishing again.

Summary
Suspending a job is a simple action that lets you temporarily stop publishing a job without losing any existing data or candidates.
By accurately managing job status, you can stay in control of open recruitment processes and update job availability to match your organization’s changing needs.
